What is the Soul? What is Spirit?

A student from an intuitive development course shared this transcript of a conversation, featuring a question and a channeled answer...

Me {student}:

But then he said your logical mind won't know the answer, your soul knows the answer and earlier we were talking, they were talking about old souls, so II just want to know what comes from God, like, is it the soul? Or is it the spirit? And if you're an old soul, does that mean you were created before younger souls?

Laura: Okay, okay, okay, alright, oh my God, he's going to do it, let's do it. You're going to transcribe this part too. Okay, he's so funny, he's like:

"Semantics." 

  He said, "I'll quote somebody famous in your circle.

Energy is everything. Everything is energy. Your mind is delineating. It's separating.

That's dualism.

The heart, the mind, the body, the soul, it's all One.

Only in the conceptual mind, do you separate.

You see, to live from love without question, without doubt, without fear is embodying the Oneness.

{the thought is}

"I don't need to look at my soul as separate from my human. I don't need to see myself as separate from all." There's a lot to investigate and explore here as far as your concepts.

Spirit in essence is energy.

Your soul in essence is energy.

Your body in essence is energy.

Your thoughts in essence are energy.

All primed to serve One purpose of being.

Being purpose... purposefully exploring what we can be as One in a dualistic delineated version of exploration.

So, in as much as you look to identify in an individual nature, a concept, notice that.

Ah, that's the old pattern of being that needs to intellectualize everything to feel in control of it.

{the thought is}

"If I understood who I was as an individual soul, as separate from spirit, then I can work with my individual self to reconnect with spirit."

And all I'm saying to you, is don't create all of those hurdles.

Just be One.

Just be One with the concept of being One, where the heart, the mind, the body and the soul are One energy.

They may have different refractory effects in the 3D realm, but that light shown through that prism is all born of the same energy, in essence.

Laura:  Okay, so when you see a light going through a prism and you see it refracted out, okay, those are all the different colors the light can be. That's the different colors the light can explore being. So, you are the light, refracted through the lens of 3D, and the colors are different. You can have the physical experience of you, the emotional experience of you, the spiritual experience of you, the linear experience of you creates the ideas of past lives and future experiences.

Yet, in an energy without dualism, it's all simultaneously experienced.

Different refraction.

You know, when I say old soul and young soul, refracted in different ways.

You know, the essence of the experience of being One Soul. So that One Soul is refracted through every individual personality and every different past life incarnation and future potential, but it's all not understandable intellectually.

It's not definable in a linear progression: past, present and future. That's a timeline in the 3D realm. Beyond the 3D, time and space are inconsequential.

It's always now and we always experience everybody.

And so, you know the Oneness because you know when I channel, I can channel your deceased loved ones that are in heaven somewhere. I can channel your higher self which is sitting here in your body, but also in heaven with your deceased loved ones. I can channel anybody pretty much you know at any time, but on different levels. So, you can hear from your higher self in its relationship to you being human right now coming from where you are as a human right now, or you can hear from your higher self, observing your humanness with the bigger picture perspective. That's another experience, or your past life. And it's all happening now in our experience.

So, I don't know. I know I'm throwing a lot out there, but when you consider One energy refracted through light, it just feels like there's limitless ways for that light to be expressed and experienced and explored. I don't know, did I get confusing?

Me{student}:

No, that was actually exactly the analogy I needed to hear to help myself. I appreciate that.

- Yeah, like you know you can have one experience right and you can catch yourself in it where you're all human in your head with it, right? And your mind's interpretation creates one experience of it and when you realize it like I got mad and now I'm stuck in that angry experience with myself.  But if you realize it and you shift your thought, then you can have maybe a more soulful experience of it. It was always right there. It's just where your focus is right? What experience you're having?

Me: Right, Right, and I also like how you're talking about the deceased in the past and the present and future because I also wonder about that, like the different levels, you know, since we are multi -dimensional, like how are my parents here, and I can talk to them, but also, they're somewhere else. So yeah, that was, oh, thank you, and Carl, thank you so much.

Laura:

It's more than we can process intellectually but at least you got a better vision of it, you know? Cool. All right. We all benefited. Thank you.
