Astronomers, Astrologers and the metaphysical community worldwide are excited about an auspicious  planetary alignment. The two biggest planets in our solar system “meet” for the first time in centuries and will look like one planet or as some are calling it, the Christmas Star.

The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is occurring on the very day of the Winter solstice, Monday, December 21, 2020.

It is an especially rare occurrence as although this occurs once every 20 years, these two planets have not come this close to each other in 397 years.

I feel that there is something very different about the energy of this day, just as there has been something VERY different about the energy of 2020. After one of the most challenging years in human history it is as if this day is the center of the Labyrinth we’ve been walking for the last 20 years.

What’s happened in your life in the last 20 years? What direction are you heading in for the next 20?

A labyrinth is a complex and circuitous path that leads from a beginning point to a center. with a single, undivided path and no choices to make other than traveling onward through the winding pattern to an assured goal. The meandering pattern may tease the traveler by leading now inward, then suddenly outward, but eventually it arrives surely at the goal.  You follow the path to the center, where you may wish to pause for a few moments. Then you reverse your direction and retrace your path back out to the starting point…it is a metaphor for life.

I believe we will be at “our center” collectively on 12/21/2020. Let’s join together in a collective “pause” from our humanness and use this moment as a turning point as we channel spirit’s perspective of how to use the energy of this moment to turn our state of being around and focus on walking a path of grace, ease and human kindness out of the maze of confusion of 2020 in the direction of ONEness in Twenty Twenty ONE.

Hope to "see" you there.

According to Almanac.com here’s how to view the great conjunction:

On December 21, the day of the conjunction, make sure you have a clear view of the southwestern horizon near sunset since the planets will be pretty low in the sky.

The Sun will have just set at its leftward-most spot on your horizon of the entire year, and your best planet view starts about half an hour after your local sunset.

The Great Conjunction’s viewing will begin around 5 PM in most places.

Jupiter and Saturn will hover in the fading twilight.

They’ll remain visible for another hour after that if you have no obstructions like hills, so you’ll have plenty of time for leisurely observations.

From December 2020 Monthly Forecast

The generational marker that is the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that happens – beautifully placed on the solstice - is a hopeful note on which to end the most transformative years any of us have ever lived through.

“However, the really big news of the month is the magnificent Great Conjunction between Saturn and Jupiter that is exact on the very day of the solstices that hits on December 21st.  This is a beautiful transit that happens every twenty years, almost like a generational marker.  And since these two are the arbiters of our social experience and everything that happens on the planet in a collective manner, this Conjunction is getting a lot of attention out there in social media, most especially because of the rather phenomenal synchronicity that they hit the 0-degree of Aquarius at the exact same time.  This is indeed a beautiful moment of hope and the promise of all that the Age of Aquarius can bring us, which is, ultimately, Peace for Humanity and a world where care for all human beings is primary.

Because it happens exactly concomitant with one of the most important marker moments in our year, the solstice, this meeting between the planet that brings structure (Saturn) and the one that allows for expansion and abundance (Jupiter) has even more visibility.  Be careful of the magical thinking that is floating around about this: Jupiter and Saturn will not appear to be a single planet in the sky, and this is not an enchanted portal capable of catapulting us to another dimension.   It is an important generational marker, and puts us on notice that after a year of great change and transformation of old structures (Capricorn), next year features sudden shifts, innovative changes, a bit of the instability that comes when new things are being generated (Aquarius).

Of course, the solstice also indicates that we are moving into the Capricorn mansion, where Saturn takes the lead for the next four weeks. It is the moment of least light in the northern hemisphere, and so we must find the light within in order to feel balanced.  Capricorn is where we get serious and begin to focus on the long game. In Sagittarius, we are encouraged to believe that anything is possible, and our dreams of expansion are sacred. In Capricorn, we start building those dreams, brick by brick, and so the focus of this mansion is all about what we are creating, and we get in touch with the discipline that will be needed to get there.  That said, Capricorn is a much more spiritual sign than most people give it credit for. Understand that the mountain that the goat is climbing includes our personal goals and ambitions, but also represents consciousness itself.  The goat is climbing that mountain in order to have a higher vantage point in our consciousness, so that we might perceive the spiritual truth of our lives as much as any attainment of goals.”
